Our founder, Efren Reyes was born on December 12th, 1921 in Manila, Philippines to Phil and Nita Reyes. Growing up without his grandfather and grandmother, he always wondered; what is the meaning of life? What is the meaning of death? He would often muse about how quickly life passes by and whether religion was the correct answer or not. Dissatisfied with normal philosophy and interpretations of life and death, he decided to disregard it all.
Until one night.
On the night of June 10th, 1941, he was touched by an "angel" and met God himself. Or rather, itself. He never believed in miracles. But when he saw hundreds upon thousands of those arms, those outstretched and welcoming arms, he knew, God is real.
He began to keep a journal chronicling his experiences with the faceless king. He was given knowledge that would normally be too much for human comprehension. But not too much for him, not enough! Why, when the tall man would appear in his room, he would gladly let himself be scooped into those comforting arms.
When he moved to America, he eventually started the religion of Solism, using his notes to compose a basic idea of what it shall be about.
There is no afterlife. Only annihilation, only oblivion.
He eventually passed away on December 11th, 2000 at about 11 am. Survived by his wife, Jovie, his sons, John and Arvin, and his daughters-in-law, Rose and Eunice. Soon after he passed, his grandson, Nathan (born January 11th, 2001 at 11 am) would be the next one to spread his word.
